Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody in your heart to the Lord . . ."  Ephesians 5:18-19

The purpose of the music ministry at First Baptist Stuart is to "glorify our Father in Heaven" (Matthew 5:16). As believers we are called to let our "light shine before men". The music ministry is a tool by which we come together in unity to bring our great God honor, "singing and making music with our hearts" (Ephesians 5:19). In so doing, we encourage each other from the richness of God's Word and His work in our lives, promote unity in the Church, and "together with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 15:6).

Our Celebration Worship Choir is an integral part of Sunday morning worship. From powerful classic arrangements, to the latest contemporary worship music, we strive to lead all people before God's throne of grace. The choir includes a diverse group of performers, integrating gifted soloists, ensemble members, school children from the fifth grade and experienced seniors, and exemplifies the Psalmist's exhortation to make God's faithfulness known to all generations (Psalm 89:1)

The vocal praise team and instrumental ensemble are smaller groups dedicated to worshipping our Creator with all the excellence He deserves. Praise team members are specially selected Celebration Worship Choir members chosen to serve the congregation in a more focused capacity. The Instrumental Ensemble is blessed to include professional and amateur musicians from every walk of life, high school and older, bringing together a diversity of instruments and experiences to praise Him with everything we have. (Psalm 150)

As a church body, First Baptist Church of Stuart serves the community annually through our Easter Fair and Feast of Plenty. The music ministry provides the soundtrack for each of these ministries. Likewise, there are several opportunities throughout the year to serve on a more limited basis, such as Stuart's observance of the National Day of Prayer. In every occasion, our musicians are prepared to serve according to the gifts they have received. (1 Peter 4:10)

First Baptist Stuart is home to the Treasure Coast's longest running Living Christmas Tree. Every December our church body comes together to present a concert of praise to celebrate the greatest Gift ever given: Jesus Christ. You and your family are invited to join us, along with the rest of the Treasure Coast community.
