Our Staff

Pastor Orman has been Senior Pastor at First Baptist Stuart since 1992.  He is a graduate of Liberty University and holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Seminary, both in Lynchburg, Virginia.  He also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree through Liberty University. 

Since his conversion in 1975, Pastor Orman has been a strong personal soul-winner with a heart for missions.  He has traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, Canada, Brazil, Montana, India, and the Bahamas on various mission trips.  His desire for First Baptist is to reach the Treasure Coast and beyond with the glorious gospel of Christ. 

He is married to Kim and they have 2 children.

From my childhood days I had two goals—to sing and to travel. But my heart’s passion was to serve God.Through some 40 years of ministry, I have had these dreams fulfilled.

Graduating with my Bachelor of Music degree the Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio and after marriage to my college sweetheart Nancy, I began my professional career in Music.
The turning point came in my life when I discovered my heart’s passion was serving God. After serving several churches, and studies through New Orleans Baptist Seminary, I began my ministry at First Baptist Church of Stuart, in 1988.

Our ministry involves mission trips, Senior Luncheons, ongoing ministry to nursing homes with our “Good News Singers” and trips to Senior Conferences.In my leisure time I enjoy time with my wife Nancy, traveling or hanging out with our 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Enjoying God’s blessings day by day.

I am so grateful and excited for the opportunity to serve the Lord, along with FBC Stuart. I have always loved children. I belivie children should be raised and taught biblically to obtain religious fath, obedience and responsiblity. God has blessed me with two children, David and Roman. We volunterred at FBC over the last six years along with attending events. Psalm 127:3 "Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him."

Rebecca Cobo has been our Director of Youth Ministries since 2019. She is married to Mario Cobo, and they have five children. Rebecca is a graduate of Union University and has held various teaching positions in our Christian school since 2012. Rebecca's has a passion for teadching the Word of God today's yhouth in an engaging and relatable way. She enjoys planning events and activites that bring the youth group closer to the Lord, closer to one another and closer to FBC fellowship. she belivies a strong group of Christian friends and clear understanding of scripture is crucial to a teen's whole spiritual health!.

 

 

Andrew Struhar is a solo vocal artist, pianist, and worship pastor who has traveled, sung, recorded, and collaborated throughout the country in many venues and churches. He is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Performance, where he performed leading tenor roles in many theatrical and operatic productions, and James Madison University with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature, where he performed many roles and gave many concerts and recitals. He has been leading worship, directing choirs, and teaching music lessons to students from kindergarten through collegiate level since 2006. He currently resides in Palm Bay, Florida with his wife, Michelle, and six-month old daughter, Arden, and is on staff at First Baptist Church of Stuart as Worship Pastor. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. – Psalm 28:7

I have been working with children since 1987 in a school setting as either teacher or director.  In 1997 I was called here to First Baptist to be the Preschool Director.  I have wanted to work with children since I was 5 years old it wasn’t until I came to know the Lord that it became a reality at Gardens Baptist in Hollywood.  In 1979 I began working in Sunday School with the Preschool age.  It is my desire to introduce Jesus to them as their Friend, this is a start to a great foundation.

I am a born again Christian who loves the Lord with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. A graduate from Texas State University with a BBA in acoounting earning my CPA's license in Texas. I am married with 3 girls who attended First Baptist Christian School. The two oldest graduated from University of Florida and the youngest is currently attending UF. I began working for FBCS as the middle school math teacher in 2003 and was promoted to Office Manager in 2017. In 2021 I was promoted to Business Manager of First Baptist Church and am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Him.

I was born and raised in New Jersey. I accepted Jesus as my savior in Aug. 1998 at Christian Camp, in Massachusetts.
I've been married to my husband David for 12 years and have two sons, Jeremy & Patrick.

We moved to Stuart, Fl. June 04 and attended First Baptist Church.  After the hurricanes in 04, I saw FBC church family extend love to the needy. I served as a Awana Cubbie director, also a Sunday School teacher. I have been working in the church office part time since summer of 08 currently I have joined the staff full time.
I believe with each experience it has brought me  a closer relationship with Jesus, and pray for others to accept God’s gift . 
During my free time, I enjoy digital scrapbooking and spending time with all my family.

I have been involved in the music Department here since 1983.  I am currently the church accompanist and assistant.  I received my AA degree in music from Indian River State College.  I received Jesus into my heart at the age of 12 and have enjoyed all the many years of serving him.  I look forward to great plans for FBC Stuart  in years to come.

 My name is Jesus M. Soto Hernandez. I was born in Mexico 46 years ago on Nov. 02, 1965. I am seventh in a family of fourteen kids. My father’s name was Jesus M Soto 6th and my mom was Emilia Hernandez. Growing up we were Catholics as a family. I came to USA when I was 21 years old and I came to Christ about 13 years ago.
I’m married to my wife of 22 years, Dolores Soto. We have four kids, one girl and three boys. Sevena L Soto in College, Gabriel Soto in high school, Isaac Soto in high school, Emmanuel Soto in 7th grade.
We attend Church at Heavenly Places Spanish Church Pt. Salerno, but we come to know the Lord thru Awana.
I consider Pastor Darrell, my pastor and mentor for the influence that he has been in my spiritual life; it is an honor to serve as part of the staff here at F.B.C.S.
